Open or Closed Method in Rhinoplasty?
Until 2000s the common preference in the world was the closed method. Expert surgeons used to perform operations with the closed method. However, in time it is noticed that the results of the surgeries performed with open method look more natural aesthetically and more functional for breathing as well. Thus the open method has turned out to be the common preference.
Prof. Dr. Nazim CERKES , being one of the most important surgeons of the world, also prefers the open method as well. But in the meantime Dr. Cerkes may also use the closed method for small interventions whenever it is necessary.
